Privacy Policy
The short version: we only keep the information you enter into stats.broker because it's needed to run the service. We don't sell it, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't track you around the web.
Who we are
stats.broker is operated by stats.broker LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the stats.broker website and app. Questions about your data: me@paulabbott.com.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Account details — your name, email address, and (where relevant) phone number, when you create an account or are invited to one.
- Content you create — leagues, tournaments, teams, players, schedules, and similar records you add while using the app.
- Basic technical logs — routine server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the service running and secure. Our internal diagnostics identify you only by an opaque per-user ID, not your name or email.
We do not run advertising or third-party analytics/tracking scripts, and we don't buy personal data about you.
Cookies
stats.broker uses strictly-necessary cookies only — a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects your account. Without it, login wouldn't work. It is not used for advertising or tracking. Full detail is on our Cookies page.
How we use your information
- To provide the app and keep you signed in.
- To send transactional emails you'd expect — verification, invitations, password resets, and notifications you've opted into.
- To keep the service secure (for example rate-limiting and preventing abuse).
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your personal data, and we never will. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your information is shared only with the small number of service providers needed to make features work, and only to the extent required — for example an email delivery provider (Resend) to send the transactional emails above, and, if you use a feature that requires it, a maps/geocoding provider (OpenStreetMap / Nominatim) to look up an address you enter. These providers process data only to perform their service for us. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Where your data lives & security
The app runs on a private server and your data is stored there. We take reasonable technical measures to protect it, but no method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. To have your account and its data deleted, email me@paulabbott.com.
Your choices
- View and update your profile details from within the app.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by emailing us.
- Manage or clear cookies in your browser at any time (this will sign you out).
Children
stats.broker holds information about youth players that is entered by a parent, coach, or league organizer, and used only to run the app. If you believe a child's information was added without appropriate permission, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
